Mounting Brackets We Recommend
Still looking for a mount? We have listed a few below that we recommend. The mounts are separated into 3 categories based on functionality. Please read each of the descriptions to determine which mount is best suited for your TV and situation. The size range listed on each link is our suggested range for that mount.
Recommended Full Motion Mounts
ONN Full Motion
Available for purchase from Walmart. ONN is a great low-price option, but we only recommend using their full motion mounts for TVs 60” or less. Although they are rated for use on larger TVs, we have found that the functionality can become limited with some TVs over 60”. The buttons for online purchase contain the TV size ranges we recommend using with that mount.
Sanus Full Motion
Available for purchase from Costco, Target, Lowes, Amazon, etc. In our opinion, Sanus is one of the best full motion options for TVs under 65”. This is one of the strongest and most fluid full motion mounts available. This mount is easy to use and easily movable. However, if you have a TV 65” or larger we highly recommend the Sanus Extended Tilt (Sanus 4D) listed below.
Recommended Tilting Mounts
ONN - Standard Tilt Mount
Available for purchase from Walmart. ONN is again a great low-price option, and as their rating suggests, we find that they are suitable for use with TVs up to 70”. This is a low-profile, standard-tilting mount that will hold the back of the TV close to the wall but unlike the Sanus mounts, this mount will only allow for a downward tilt. Once mounted, accessing the rear of the TV is very difficult without removal.
Sanus - Extended Tilt Mount
Available for purchase from Costco, Target, Lowes, Amazon, etc. The Sanus 4D mount allows a larger range of motion than a standard tilt. It is able to not only tilt downward, but can also angle to either side for improved viewing angles. This is our favorite and most highly recommended mounting bracket for TVs 65 inch and larger.
Recommended Flat Mounts
ONN - Standard Flat Mount
Available for purchase from Walmart. ONN supplies a standard flat mount that positions the back of your TV just slightly over 1” from your wall. Which makes the flat mount the lowest profile mount offered by ONN. A flat mount will remain fixed to your wall and will not allow tilting, angling or movement of any kind. Once mounted, accessing the rear of the TV is very difficult without removal.
Sanus - Low-Profile Flat Mount
Sanus brand is available for purchase from Costco, Target, Lowes, Amazon, etc. Sanus carries an ultra-thin flat mount that holds the back of your TV just over 0.5” from your wall. This makes the Sanus flat mount the lowest profile mount on our list. A flat mount remains fixed to your wall and will not allow movement of any kind. Once mounted, accessing the rear of the TV is very difficult without removal.
