Coaxial Cable Installation Service
TV Solutions provides professional coaxial cable installation for cable television, broadband internet, satellite, and over-the-air antenna connections. Whether you need a new coax run to a single room or a complete re-wire of your home's coaxial infrastructure, experienced technicians route RG6 cable cleanly through finished walls, ceilings, and crawlspaces with professional termination and signal testing at every connection point.
When You Need Coaxial Cable Installation
Coaxial cable connects your home to cable television and broadband internet services, carries satellite signals from a dish to your receiver, and transmits over-the-air antenna signals to your TV. You may need new coax installation when moving a TV or cable box to a new room, upgrading from old RG59 cable to modern RG6, running cable to a newly finished basement or addition, connecting an outdoor antenna, or replacing damaged or poorly terminated cable that causes signal issues like pixelation, freezing, or slow internet.
RG6 Cable — The Current Standard
All new coaxial installations use RG6 cable, which offers better shielding, lower signal loss over distance, and higher frequency support compared to the older RG59 cable commonly found in homes built before 2000. RG6 supports cable TV frequencies up to 3 GHz, DOCSIS 3.1 broadband internet speeds, satellite TV (including 4K), and over-the-air digital TV signals. If your home still has RG59 wiring, upgrading to RG6 can noticeably improve cable TV picture quality and internet modem performance.
Professional Termination & Connectors
Every coax connection is terminated with compression-fitted F-type connectors, which provide a more secure and weatherproof seal than crimp or twist-on connectors. At the wall, we install standard F-type coaxial wall plates for a clean, permanent connection point. At the distribution end, connections are made to splitters, amplifiers, or grounding blocks as appropriate. Proper termination eliminates signal ingress (outside interference leaking in) and egress (your signal leaking out).
Signal Testing & Troubleshooting
After installation, we test signal levels at every coax outlet to verify strong, clean reception. If signal levels are low, we identify the cause — whether it is excessive splitting, a damaged cable run, a corroded connector, or an issue with the service provider's equipment. We carry splitters, amplifiers, attenuators, and replacement connectors to resolve most signal issues on-site during the same visit.
